Make a Drill Farm Crates

Every crate type with prices, drop pools, and when to buy each one.

Complete Crate Price List

My Drill Farm features seven standard crate tiers: Wood ($25), Bronze ($150), Silver ($500), Gold ($2,500), Ruby ($15,000), Diamond ($75,000), and Mega ($500,000). Each tier gates drill rarity and skin drop quality. Handcrafted Games may add event-exclusive crates during holidays with separate pricing.

Wood Crate is the entry point every player touches. Mega Crate is the aspirational capstone. The five tiers between them exist to smooth CPS growth so players never face a $500,000 purchase without having lived through the $15,000 Ruby phase first.

All crates deliver to your plot on a timer after purchase. You can queue multiple purchases and let deliveries stack while you collect from placed drills.

Drop Pools by Crate Tier

Wood and Bronze crates drop Common and low Uncommon drills — Basic, Copper, Iron. Silver adds Steel. Gold introduces Gold Drill ($200/s) and Bronze or Gold skins. Ruby is the inflection point for Ruby Drill ($1K/s) and meaningful mutation rates on Golden tier.

Diamond crates add Diamond Drill ($10K/s) and better Epic mutation odds. Mega crates concentrate Legendary and Mythic drill drops plus the highest Cosmic mutation chances in the standard loot table.

Luck Totems (+5% to +30% rare chance) modify these pools when placed near your opening zone. Always activate totems before expensive opens.

Progression Purchase Order

Standard route: spam Wood until plot full → mix Gold when CPS > $2K/s → bulk Ruby when CPS > $15K/s → sprinkle Diamond if dry streaks hurt morale → commit to Mega when CPS > $1M/s and bank balance > $2M buffer.

The 2x Crate Speed pass changes how many opens per hour you achieve, not which crate to buy. Faster deliveries mean Wood spam stays viable longer into mid-game for players who enjoy quantity-over-quality strategies.

Use our Crate ROI Calculator to compare marginal value: "one Ruby vs twenty Wood" given your current CPS, luck setup, and plot vacancy rate.

Event and Limited Crates

Christmas and holiday events may introduce crates with festive skins, temporary mutation boosts, or discounted Ruby-tier pricing. These crates leave the shop when the event timer expires — buy before the countdown ends if you want collector items.

Event crates do not replace Mega for Mythic hunting, but they can shortcut mid-game with exclusive cosmetics that multiply CPS. Read event patch notes on our Events page when Handcrafted Games announces seasonal content.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Wood Crate cost?

Wood Crates cost $25 each in-game cash. They are the cheapest crate and the best early-game investment for filling your plot quickly.

What is the most expensive crate?

Mega Crate costs $500,000. It offers the best odds for Mythic and Cosmic drills and is the primary endgame crate purchase.

How long do crate deliveries take?

Delivery time varies by crate tier. The 2x Crate Speed Game Pass (129 R$) halves all delivery timers, making bulk buying strategies much faster.

Do crates give skins and drills?

Yes. Crates can drop drills, skins, and occasionally other items depending on the crate tier and active events. Higher tiers have broader and rarer loot pools.

Which crates should I buy during events?

Buy limited event crates before they leave the shop — they often have exclusive skins or boosted mutation odds. Standard Wood Crates remain good for bulk filler during events if you are still expanding your plot.
