All Drills Overview
Drills are the core income units in My Drill Farm by Handcrafted Games. You obtain them by opening crates, place them on your plot grid, and earn cash per second (CPS) from each one — including while offline. Nine standard drills span from Basic ($1/s, Common) to Cosmic ($1M/s, Mythic).
Each drill has a fixed base CPS that mutations and skins multiply. Rarity labels (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic) correlate with crate tier requirements — you will not find a Cosmic Drill in a Wood Crate ($25).
This item page complements our Drills Tier List with acquisition context. Use both when deciding whether to keep a newly rolled drill or continue opening crates for an upgrade.
Early Game Drills — Basic to Steel
Basic Drill ($1/s, D tier, Common) and Copper Drill ($5/s, C tier, Common) drop primarily from Wood Crates ($25). They exist to fill your first plot rows. Iron Drill ($15/s, C tier, Uncommon) and Steel Drill ($50/s, B tier, Uncommon) appear from Bronze ($150) and Silver ($500) crates as you transition.
Gold Drill ($200/s, B tier, Rare) is the first drill that feels like a real upgrade. It drops from Gold Crates ($2,500) reliably enough that players mark it as the end of "early game" psychologically.
Placement tip: keep early drills until you have a same-tile replacement. Selling a Steel Drill before placing a Gold replacement creates income gaps that delay your next crate purchase.
Mid and Late Game Drills — Ruby to Cosmic
Ruby Drill ($1K/s, A tier, Rare) drops from Ruby Crates ($15,000) and anchors mid-game progression. Diamond Drill ($10K/s, A tier, Epic) comes from Diamond Crates ($75,000) and Ruby crates at lower odds.
Mythic Drill ($100K/s, S tier, Legendary) is the primary Mega Crate ($500,000) chase. Cosmic Drill ($1M/s, S+ tier, Mythic) is the rarest standard drop — expect dozens of Mega opens with full luck stacking before you see one.
Apply Gold, Diamond, or Rainbow skins to these drills first. Stack mutations from Glowing (1.5x) through Cosmic (100x) for exponential CPS. A mutated Mythic drill is often worth more than an unmutated Diamond.
Drill Management Tips
Inventory hygiene: place new drops immediately, skin your top three earners, and cluster high-value drills near Speed Totems (+20% CPS). Use trucks or Auto Collect (99 R$) so high-tier drills never sit at collection cap.
