Skin Multiplier Reference
Six skin tiers exist in My Drill Farm: Default (1x), Bronze (2x), Gold (5x), Diamond (15x), Rainbow (50x), and Cosmic (100x). The multiplier applies to the drill's base CPS before other buffs in some calculations and multiplicatively with mutations in all cases.
Skins are cosmetic items you equip from inventory onto a placed drill. The visual change is instant — particle effects, recolored models, and animated trails signal skin tier to visitors on your plot.
Unlike mutations which roll randomly at crate open, skins are inventory items you control. This makes them a planning resource: you choose exactly which drill receives your rarest cosmetic.
Acquisition Sources
Bronze and Gold skins drop from Gold and Ruby crates commonly enough that most mid-game players own spares. Diamond skins appear from Ruby and Diamond crates at lower rates. Rainbow and Cosmic skins are Mega Crate and event exclusives with low drop percentages.
Holiday events sometimes sell limited skins in token shops or event crate bundles. A Christmas-exclusive skin might offer unique visuals plus a competitive multiplier — check our Events page during active seasons.
Game Passes do not directly grant skins, but VIP (299 R$) may include special crate access that indirectly improves skin drop rates during promotional periods.
Application Strategy
Apply skins in tier-matched pairs: Bronze on Steel, Gold on Ruby, Diamond on Diamond-tier drills, Rainbow on Mythic. Cosmic Skin belongs on your single highest effective CPS tile — usually a Cosmic mutation Mythic drill.
Before applying a legendary skin, use the CPS Calculator to compare outcomes. Moving a Rainbow skin from a $1K/s Ruby to a $100K/s Mythic is a 100x base CPS improvement multiplied by the same 50x skin — always worth the swap.
Skin before logout. Offline earnings use current multipliers. Logging off with a naked Mythic drill wastes hours of potential 50x income.
Skins and Mutations Together
Example stack: Mythic drill ($100K/s) + Diamond mutation (20x) + Rainbow skin (50x) = $100M/s effective CPS. Both multipliers apply fully — the mutation does not cap skin value or vice versa.
Chase order for min-maxers: secure the drill tier first, roll a strong mutation second, apply the best skin third. Reversing the order by skinning a Basic drill wastes the cosmetic during the hours you spend rolling upgrades.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do skins do in Make a Drill Farm?
Skins multiply a drill's CPS when applied. Multipliers range from Default (1x) to Cosmic Skin (100x). Skins stack multiplicatively with mutations.
What is the best skin multiplier?
Cosmic Skin at 100x is the highest, followed by Rainbow at 50x and Diamond at 15x. Apply top-tier skins only to your highest CPS drills.
How do I get Rainbow Skin?
Rainbow Skin drops rarely from Mega Crates and high-tier event shops. It is an S-tier cosmetic requiring endgame crate grinding or limited event purchases.
Should I skin all my drills?
No. Concentrate premium skins on your top 3–5 earners. Spreading a Diamond skin across ten low-tier drills wastes less total multiplier than stacking one Rainbow on your Mythic.
Do skins affect offline earnings?
Yes. Skin multipliers apply to base CPS at all times, including offline accumulation. Skin your best drill before logging off for maximum idle returns.
